Prosper inspires Mchinji artists

by Harold Kapindu

Musician Prosper has embarked on a mission aiming at encouraging young artists to embrace artistry as a full time career. The artist who also owns Class of 90z Multimedia, has started recording and promoting artists free of charge.

He was quick to point out that artists are identified based on talent, commitment, potential and approval by himself and the studio producer.

Recently, Prosper organised a show in which he invited established artists Janta, Macelba and DNA who performed and interacted with budding musicians.

“We all need that person to call a role model, so when I approached several guys about the idea to invite the guys who come and perform at the show, the majority votes went to Macelba, Janta, Jungle and DNA of which at the end, my mission was accomplished.

Preshaw, a Mchinji based upcoming musician said the interaction with established artists was insightful.

“I have learned a lot that will help polish my art. I am looking forward to more of these interactions in the near future,” Preshaw remarked.

Meanwhile, Prosper is on Monday, 13th January scheduled to release a single titled “Njinga” which tackes prostitution.

“The concept came about after analysing how social life and poverty has affected our women in most families. In the song, a young man is struggling to control the immorality that has taken over his wife due to poverty.

“The man can’t provide the necessities for the family hence the wife finds an altenative to sell her body,” he explained.

“Njinga” was produced by one of the most talented young producers, Andrew Kalozwa better known as Dre Beats who he has signed to Class of 90z Multimedia.
