Jay Jay Cee’ unreleased single ‘bae ndiwe’ artwork has been criticized for using Toriah’s picture without her consent. The artwork was using a picture of him (Jay Jay Cee) and Toriah holding each other as lovers do.
Jay Jay Cee in statement said ‘this doesn’t mean that he and his Ex are back into a love relationship’. Only that they wanted a picture that was fit for the job.
This is an action that Toriah could not tolerate, she took to her Facebook page to rebuke the character portrayed by the singer Jay Jay Cee and his team saying ‘this is inappropriate’.
She further said ‘you can’t be using people’s pictures without there permission plus enafe we are taken now, me and my management request that this artwork must be withdrawn and proper procedures must be followed’.
The single ‘Bae Ndiwe ‘ drops on 16th of November 2020, the single features Nesness and is produced by Bee O Gee and Zephy.
Jay Jay Cee in his explanation said that he sees no problem with the artwork saying he has all the rights to use their expired pictures. “prior my Ex told some news writers that she was writing a song about me and she went on and called me ‘Birimankhwe’ in one of her latest singles. And I never reacted now she is fighting me for putting a pic of her and me on my new song’s artwork?
“Now she threatens to take legal steps, but we don’t work with threats here, I am sorry I won’t withdraw the artwork everything goes as planned Bae Ndiwe drops on 16th November and tie is our official artwork” he continued.
