South Africa based up and coming Afro and Hip Hop artist Sega Mw is back with a new banger in 2022 titled “Pemphero”.

It has been produced by King B.

“Pemphero” follows Sega Mw’s first 2022 single “Melissa” featuring renowned rapper, Waxy Kay which was released in June.

Unlike the previous banger which was about love relationships and heartbreaks, the new track is a passionate dedication to Sega Mw’s late mother who died this year.

“I lost my mother on 27th May 2022. It hurts me because I didn’t even see her for the last time. I left Malawi for South Africa and I didn’t even get a chance to burry her. But, Allah knows best. He is never wrong,” he says.

In this track, Sega Mw talks about the highest and lowest times he shared with his late mother, Khatijah Ibrahim.

“Pemphero is a prayer to my mother. I will forever put her in my prayers because she still lives in me and I will be the best version of her. My mother was such a hero,” Sega Mw explains.

“I decided to release this song for her and to let everyone know that all the people that have died still need us in one thing. And, that’s the prayer,” he adds.

Sega Mw further reminds those who have lost loved ones that they will unite again in the after life hence the need to pray.

“We will deffinetly lose the things we love one day. This world itself will not last forever. Let’s pray for those loved ones we lost so that Allah should grant them mercy and paradise,” he reiterated.

Real name Naseem Alias, Sega Mw was born on 25 August, 2000.

Currently based in South Africa, Sega Mw originally hails from Kawale, Lilongwe.

He has previously collaborated with big artists such as Waxy Kay, Malinga Mafia, Seven O More, Dette Flo, Crispy Mw, Bucci and Kal-El.
