Flames Coach Mario Maranica, has finally arrived to the conclusion that he needs five more years to develop a winning Flames.
Maranica believes in ‘Fast and very fast’ football a philosophy that is not going well with the current Malawi National football team.
Flames is mostly used to it’s usual, passing game. Yet Maranica challenges himself to change that. And he needs a five year contract to make his dream come true.
Marinica had been technical director of the national team who reached the Round of 16 at the recent 2021 TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations before losing to Morocco.
Romanian Marinica replaced Meke Mwase as substantive Malawi coach in April 2022. As FAM were impressed with his performance at the AFCON where Flames reached round of 16, first time in history.
