Roberto becomes the 1st artist to receive YouTube creators award from Zambia

Zambian superstar Roberto has today received his first ever YouTube creators award. Becoming the 1st Zambian YouTuber to receive such a higher price, from the world’s number one video streaming platform.

The singer updated his fans through social media in a post that read “My YouTube creators award just arrived, the 1st in Lusaka,Zambia”
He further thanked his team for making the dream possible, not forgetting his wife, Family including his whole management team.

YouTube Creator Awards, commonly known as YouTube Play Buttons or YouTube Plaques, are a series of awards from YouTube that aim to recognize its most popular channels. They are based on a channel’s subscriber count but are offered at the sole discretion of YouTube.

Each channel is reviewed before an award is issued, to ensure that the channel follows the YouTube community guidelines. YouTube reserves the right to refuse to hand out a Creator Award, which it has done to select channels with horror or political content as well as various critics.

Roberto has managed to get 100,000 YouTube subscribers, which is the number that gets a silver YouTube play button. Roberto rose to prominence with hit single “AmaRulah” which was released in 2015.

From then the singer has bumped from an award into another. He also has been working on singles that has rocked the airwaves ever since, among these are Don’t Cry, One in a million, come closer including his latest release Lights down and many others.
