The rapper Rikhado Makhado, celebrated by stage name Riky Rick passed away last week in what is speculated to be suicide. Following the news of his tragic death, Malawian rappers, Gwamba and Suffix took their time and paid tribute to the legend through social media platforms.
Suffix posted “R. I. P Riky Rick Makhado I was a huge fan.”
Suffix who is also youth mental health activist shared struggles that most celebrities face in their day to day life that lead to mental health exhaustion in the same post.
” Life is hard guys, just because I am on spotlight it doesn’t mean I have it all figured out. Imagine thousands and thousands of people who don’t even know you personally mocking/attacking you on social media just for Likes. These celebs also have a life outside music, they are real people with real issues.” Continues further explained.
And tributes continue to pour in from across all genres of life, well decorated vernacular rapper Gwamba joined the hundreds of world super stars to pay respect to the fallen legend.
Through his Twitter account, the Chichewa Landlord posted, “R.I.P Africa’s finest” ,before he asked fans to stop online bullying due to what he said “celebrities are human too and they struggle mentally just like everyone”
Celebrated for his fashion trend setting lifestyle and young talent grooming, Riky Rick passed away aged 34 leaving behind wife Beanca and two kids.
