Mzava ruled out, Flames stuck in SA, Mwase confident.

The Flames spent the night in Johannesburg due to Flight hitches. Reports indicates that the Malawi national team will proceed to Ouagadougou through Addis Ababa Ethiopia today Tuesday 10/11/2020 ahead of Thursday’s African Cup qualifiers encounter against Burkina faso.

South African based players Gerald Phiri Junior, Richard Mbulu, Denis Chembezi, Rafiq Namwela and Nixon Nyasulu had to fly out on Monday evening and the whole squad will join them later today in Ouagadougou, Burkina faso.

Meanwhile, former flames captain Limbikani Mzava has been ruled out of the squad after testing positive to Covid 19. Flames will also miss the services of ABSA premier league top goal scorer and Golden boot winner Gabadinho Mhango who is nursing injury.

Flames Meck Mwase has assured Malawians that despite Mzava’s absence he will use the available squad.
