Malawi under 17 fly to Port Elizabeth, For the Cosafa Youth Championship.

The Junior Flames leaving for Port Elizabeth

The Junior Flames left the country today for Port Elizabeth where they will be taking part in the Cosafa Youth Championship that will take place between 19-29 November 2020.

Meanwhile Coach Deckleck Msakakuona yesterday mentioned the final 20 man squad that travelled with him off the country. The team has left today through Kamuzu International Airport.

The Malawi Under-17 national team Is in group B that is comprised of Zambia, Botswana and Comoros. Their first group stage game is against Botswana on November 20, before facing Zambia on November 22. The Junior Flames last group phase match is against Comoros on 25 November.

The tournament will also act as a 2021 CAF under-17 Cup of Nations zonal qualify with 2 teams making it to the finals in Morocco.
