Get to know Yusuf Abubaker a Malawian poet

Yusuf Abubaker (born 21 January 1992) popularly known as THE GAME CHANGER, is a Malawian actor and poet who has starred in over four prominent and outstanding Malawian drama groups, and one of the stars of the film Danger zone directed by Ignatious Kaphinde Sc and the poem Mkazi wanga waku Jannah (My paradise wife) featured on third.

He was born in Mangochi southern region of Malawi adopted the name from His father, Abubaker Yusuf crowned as chief mpoya, hailed from ntcheu town and His monther is Halimah Sambo from T/A Mponda Mangochi. He is the second and only a boy in a family of five children.

He received his primary education at Thumu Primary School in Mangochi and later attended Kaliyeka community day secondary school, in Lilongwe. In 2018 he graduated from exploits University where he got a diploma in business management.


Yusuf, is a mature, positive and hardworking individual, who always strives to achieve the highest standard possible, at any given task.
He possess excellent communication skills, and He has the ability and experience to relate to a wide range of people.

Yusuf’s acting career kicked off when he starred in Kaliyeka 1 madrasa (Islamic school) in 2006.
He began his acting career as a child actor at the age of 14.
He was inspired to take a chance with acting when he attended one of the religion faction where He was taking part of acting.
Meanwhile, Chisenga has also disclosed working on an animation video for the song.

Yusuf has since then appeared and participated in numerous drama groups and organisations in Malawi starring as the lead role . among the others, he has worked with heroes arts theatre, He further joined wachetemara arts theatre and later, He joined Kaliyeka drama group. In 2013 he was treasure of Lilongwe Muslim students association and he hold as a vice chairman of Lilongwe Islamic arts laboratory.

For a year He was in the republic of Madagascar working with charity organization in African, Resalei nur.
